In close cooperation with Studio Louter and the Drents Archive, we developed an Augmented Reality App that unlocks small and intimate World War II stories for elementary school students aged 8-12

Body Tracking

Students create a comic based on real-life sources and feel what it's like to step into the shoes of their peers during the second world war. Using Ar-kit body-tracking students pose the 3d comic characters by reenacting scenes while standing in front of the camera of the tablet. Filling the panels of the comic in an intuitive and immersive way.

Results

This results in an impactful, personal and emotional comic that displays real-life events that happened during the war and forms the base of open and engaging classroom discussions.
